Description
Built in the 1920s as a water tower to a design by engineer Vladimir Shukhov, this hyperboloid steel lattice has been converted into Bukhara's best observation deck. A glass lift carries visitors more than thirty metres up, where the Ark, Poi Kalyan and the rooftops of the old town spread out below. A cafe operates on the upper level. Sunset is the busiest hour — booking a slot in advance is recommended.
