Description
The Museum of Fine Arts occupies a former trading house of 1912 and holds a collection of more than three thousand works. On display are painters of the Bukhara school — including Pavel Benkov and his students — alongside gold embroidery, chased metalwork and carpet weaving. One hall is devoted to 20th-century artists who painted the cityscapes of old Bukhara. The museum stands on the central promenade, five minutes' walk from Lyabi-Hauz.
