Description
The master of this workshop learned miniature painting from his father and walks visitors through the old technology step by step: making paper from mulberry bark, grinding mineral pigments on stone and painting with a brush of cat's hair. Subjects come from eastern classics — Layla and Majnun, courtiers at chess, caravans on the road. Small works can be bought on the spot; larger pieces are painted to order. The master's stories are as good as the paintings themselves.
