Description

Near the Nadir Divan-Begi Madrasah, this workshop carries the Bukharan papier-mache puppet tradition into its third generation. Every figure — emir, caravan master, Khoja Nasreddin — is moulded by hand, painted with natural pigments and dressed in silk. Short puppet performances are staged right in the workshop. In a masterclass you can build your own puppet and take it home with you.
