Description
The Museum of Blacksmith Art occupies an old smithy in the heart of the trading quarter, where descendants of a blacksmith dynasty still work the forge in front of visitors. The exhibition covers Bukharan knives, the city's famous stork-shaped scissors, horse tack and 19th-century tools. A master will hammer out a pair of the stork scissors before your eyes, and every knife sold is struck with the smith's personal mark.
