Description
This workshop keeps the full cycle of Bukharan carpet weaving under one roof, from silkworm cocoon to finished carpet. The weavers tie up to ten thousand knots a day at their looms — a single square metre of fine silk carpet can take six months. Dyes are strictly natural: pomegranate rind, walnut husk, madder root. Visitors are welcome without obligation to buy; watching the process and a cup of tea cost nothing.
