Description
The Samanid Recreation Park spreads west of the old town around the Ismail Samani Mausoleum and Chashma-Ayub. Shaded avenues, children's rides, a Ferris wheel and summer cafes make it the favourite evening promenade of local families. From the top of the wheel there is a fine view over the mausoleum and the rooftops of old Bukhara. Fragments of the ancient city wall can also be seen within the park grounds.
