Description
This chaikhana on the bank of Lyabi-Hauz carries on the centuries-old tradition of the square as the city's gathering place. Guests recline on topchan daybeds facing the pond with green tea, navvat crystal sugar and parvarda sweets. Light dishes are served too — shurpa soup, samsa pastries and cold okroshka in summer. The view is at its best in the evening when the lights come on over the water. Prices stay moderate despite the prime location.
